Sustaining Engineering Remote Service Centre

The TERMA Sustaining Engineering Remote Service Centre (SUSE-RSC) is located in Weiterstadt, Germany, providing software development, support and maintenance services for the spacecraft mission control facilities of the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt.

Mission Control Systems are used at ESOC in Darmstadt as well at other sites for the pre-launch preparation and post-launch operation of spacecraft for the European Space Agency (ESA) and ESA clients. New mission control systems are developed both on-site and off-site of the ESOC premises. The SUSE-RSC provides an on-site user support Helpdesk at ESOC, and facilities for software development, maintenance, system testing, documentation and configuration control at the SUSE-RSC facility.
 

The SUSE-RSC supports this website to provide Internet-based services for reporting, tracking and access to SUSE-RSC resources for registered users of the Centre via WWW browsers. Services are grouped into four areas:

• user area, allowing day-to-day technical services to be invoked
• management area, which provides extended services and access to privileged information
• developer area, which allows system developers to submit development information
• maintenance area which allows SUSERSC system maintainers to submit maintenance information
